PurePhoto is a social commerce network that helps people ignite their passion for photography and collecting original art. It aspires to make everyone an art collector and unite the global photographic art market. It has fused art education, social networking and buying into a single site and is revolutionizing art sales by making it easy for everyone to discover, connect and collect.

Art buyers, interior designers, and galleries can discover amazing original photography, connect with artists, and start or improve their collection by purchasing prints from photographers around the globe. Prints start as low as $20 and currently go as high as $5,000, although some have already sold as high as $20,000.

Photographers can also use PurePhoto to discover new buyers, connect with brokers, galleries and industry professionals, and collect additional income by selling prints to actively looking international buyers who may never have been exposed to their work.

“The global Fine Art and wall décor markets generate over $100 billion in sales but have the potential to be 4-5x that with greater market transparency,” said John Ellis, CEO of PurePhoto. “By combining social networking with ecommerce, PurePhoto removes those barriers and makes it easy for buyers and sellers to explore new work from those in their network, communicate, and transact.”

“I represent some of the top artists in Spain,” said art dealer and PhotoGallery20 owner Javier Gimeno, “PurePhoto is enabling me to expose the U.S. market to the great works of Spanish photographers and even discover other potential artists I may want to represent.”

Curated prints are hand-selected by an international art advisory board and sold as Fine Art or Limited Editions. Both include the artist’s signature and additional information about the print. Any member can sell their work in the non-curated Member Collections area or submit work for consideration in the curated section. Images are selected based on the significance of the art and artist. Pricing is based on the number of editions and the size of the print. Proceeds of the sale are split between the artist and PurePhoto.
